The Icehouse is a new and exciting, world-class ice sports and entertainment venue located in Melbourne’s Waterfront City, Docklands.
The centre features two Olympic sized ice skating rinks, state-of-the-art sound and light systems, sports gym, stadium seating for 1000 people, café, bar.
Last Monday a few of us from the office checked out the Icehouse and tried ‘Curling’ for the first time. If you didn’t already know Curling is a game played on ice in which heavy stones with handles are slid towards a target… not too dissimilar to lawn bowls. We all had blast and the Icehouse staff we fantastic and really helpful.
And there’s something fun to do nearly every night of the week:
Tight Tuesday (half-price)
Thursdays – Ice Beats (DJs)
Fridays – 80s Coundown
Saturday Afternoon - Ice Sk8 Party – (Kids Disco)
Sunday Blues
As well as being a great place for recreational fun the Icehouse also offers programs for the more serious ice skater.
The Icehouse Skate School will have a range of programs from learn-to-skate courses for those just starting out, to in-house ice hockey leagues and figure skating programs for the more experienced skaters.
For more information go to www.icehouse.com.au or contact enquiries@icehouse.com.au .
The Icehouse is located at 105 Pearl River Road, Docklands.
