
On Friday morning, 2nd May 2003 the SuperStar Leo, docked at Station Pier, in Port Melbourne. This is the biggest cruise liner to enter Port Phillip Bay.

Glassware from The United States and Europe, chinaware from Japan, Thailand and Germany, and utensils from Switzerland all combine to create an extraordinary dining experience.
The SuperStar Leo is built specifically for the Asian region, incorporating Asian tastes and influences abroad.
Additionally, this cruise ship has approximately one thousand cabins and a lower berth capacity of two thousand passengers. Measuring at 268 meters in length and 32.3 meters in width, this ‘luxury island’ contains more than 25 restaurants, bars and entertainment outlets. The restaurants range from Japanese and Chinese, to an equally exquisite Western cuisine.
The Luxury ship features a spectacular seven-deck high atrium lobby, Grand Centrum with three panoramic glass bubble lifts. The ship also contains a number of health and recreation facilities, including swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts, Jacuzzis, a sport deck with golf driving range, gymnasium, and a fitness center. Furthermore, the variety of entertainment onboard includes a 950-seat showroom appropriately called ‘Moulin Rouge,’ a cinema and a discotheque, which consists of a dance floor and lounges.
The Hong Kong based liner will cruise Australia’s eastern seaboard and Pacific Ocean until July 19th, 2003, to avoid the SARS outbreak.
